What is Akari?
Akari means light in Japanese, and we are a membership-based neighborhood sauna.
Can I walk-in?
Members can come by any time during business hours. No walk-ins allowed for non-members.
Can I do a trial before committing?
We don't offer trials at this time in an effort to ensure the space never exceeds capacity for our members.
What should I bring?
Bathing suits. Clean towels and slippers are available.
Is there an age limit?
Must be 18 years or older.
Are all facilities gender-neutral?
Yes. Facilities are not separated by gender.
What amenities are at each location?
While each location is designed differently, all of our studios offer two communal dry heat saunas, cold shower and plunges, lockers, showers and changing rooms. Towels and slippers are available on site.
Scheduled maintenance & deep clean
While we clean throughout the day and deep clean every night, we will be closed on the 10th of every month for maintenance at the Williamsburg studio. We appreciate the understanding in our effort to keep the space up to the highest standards as possible!

How many memberships are available?
We limit total memberships to ensure facilities remain within capacity.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes, to bring a guest please email guests@akarisauna.com with your desired date and time of arrival. To help us manage capacity, guests must arrive and leave with the member.
Guest fee: $35 + tax (payable in person).
What is your cancellation policy?
30-day notice is required prior to your membership auto-renewal date. Please email hello@akarisauna.com.
We offer two annual membership pauses of up to 15 days each. Email at least 72hrs ahead of your desired pause date to schedule.
If you decide to cancel your membership, please keep in mind that you won't be able to retrieve the original price you signed up for, and there's no guarantee you can reclaim your membership spot in the future as our prices and availability may change over time.
